Sr. Software Development Engineer

Position Overview
This role will design innovative software solutions through our proprietary enterprise software system. Will work closely with cross-functional teams as they develop and evolve ideas to implement and integrate business applications. This includes detailed design, development, testing and deployment of applications that meet the requirements of the business. Responsibilities include: developing conceptual alternative software solutions for various approaches, creating software requirements, design and interface specification documentation, developing software code and validation of software requirements, and documentation of this position also helps maintain the local network and computing environment.
Responsibilites
- Maintaining the health and proper functioning of all equipment and operating software.
- Overall responsibility for project management of all Information Systems, design, build and maintain well-documented software code.
- Ensure the overall integrity of the software designs and validation process.
- Lead and participate in all software review processes and perform software version control.
- Development and integration of key applications for the business in a timely manner.
- Provide help desk support as a back-up to the Jr. Software Engineer for business applications and equipment.
- Keep abreast of emerging behaviors and technologies that could impact / benefit the business.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- BS Degree in Computer Science or related field required.
- At least 5+ years of software development experience, preferably with developing enterprise software.
- Technical background and mindset to solve problems through a technical solution.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft platforms.
- Skilled programmer in .NET MVC / C#, HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript, and MS SQL.
- Skilled in testing concepts, tools and methodologies for .Net, web design and database-driven applications.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment and external groups.
- Experience in administration of Microsoft SQL Server, as well as managing SQL security.
- Programming within a SQL environment (creating views, triggers, stored procedures), as well as using SQL-based queries from within programming languages.
- Ability to learn and integrate existing and future software solutions like .NET CORE 2 MVC, Angular or others that are emerging.
- Ability to document requirements, changes, change control documents and approvals.
- Ability to follow IT policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.

Position Summary
Will achieve maximum sales profitability and growth within the assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling National Flavors’ products and services. Work requires substantial knowledge of product line as well as industries we serve.
Essential Job Functions
- Contact regular and prospective customers to promote, sell, and secure new projects utilizing a relationship-based approach.
- Answer prospective and existing customers’ questions about products and applications, prices, and availability.
- Create quotations and negotiate pricing and credit or contract terms for prospective and existing customers which meets specific customer needs.

Minimum requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Work Experience: 5+ years’ experience in a sales role preferred. Experience in building sales territories, making customer presentations, obtaining new customers, conducting market research, setting and meeting sales goals, and building authentic professional relationships would be ideal.

- Lift finished products and packed items, manually or using hoists.
- Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete.

Position Overview
Responsible for managing certain facets of the financial function for the company including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. Completes monthly closing tasks to ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly and annual financial reports in accordance with accounting standards.

Position Overview
Ensures that raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products meet specified standards and regulatory requirements. Responsible for all activities involving quality control; Reviews/analyzes data and documentation on raw materials and finished products. Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a quality assurance/control field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform laboratory analytical testing, data entry, and reporting.
- Perform organoleptic testing of raw materials and finished products.
- Provides oversight of raw material certificates of analysis, all associated quality paperwork.
- Assure correct product labeling and lot coding.
- Lab samples as needed to address raw material changes.
- Troubleshoot basic ingredient issues such as storage, handling, and undesired reactions within raw materials and finished products.
- Upkeep and increase efficiency on sensitive laboratory equipment.

- Maintain a clean, sanitized and organized lab area and all equipment that is used.
- Manage retain samples and maintain an organized system: preparing for daily batch comparisons, filing new retain samples daily, and disposing of expired samples.

Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Chemistry, Biology or Food Science is preferred.
- Work Experience: Requires 0-3 years of experience in quality control/assurance or in a related area. Basic lab testing experience is preferred. GC experience is a plus.
- Industry Knowledge: Quality Control/Assurance in a food manufacturing environment helpful, but not required.
